From authentic Kerala-style Sadhyas and banana-leaf feasts to festive regional specialities, Mumbai restaurants are bringing the flavours to the table
With Onam bringing Kerala’s harvest festival to the city, Mumbai’s restaurants are laying out elaborate Sadhyas, with traditional banana-leaf feasts, regional delicacies and festive menus. From a 30-dish spread to unlimited Sadhyas and takeaway meal boxes, here are the places to head to for a taste of Kerala this Onam.

JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu
Saffron is serving The Grand Sadhya, an elaborate vegetarian Kerala feast served in the traditional style. The spread includes banana, Ingi Puli, banana chips and mango pickle, followed by Kerala favourites such as Thoranam Erissery, Kalan Curry, Avial, Kottu Curry, Mango Pulisary, Sambar, Paruppu Curry, Poriyal and Rasam, with Matta Rice, Ponni Rice, Thayir Sadam and Appalam. Ada Pradhaman rounds off the meal.

Kerala Cafe
Kerala Cafe is serving a traditional Onam Sadhya across its Mumbai outlets, with a 27-item vegetarian spread served on a banana leaf. The menu includes Kerala favourites such as avial, sambar, rasam, thoran, erissery and parippu curry, along with an assortment of payasams and prathamans. A takeaway Sadhya parcel is also available.

Ammakai, Bandra
The place is celebrating Onam with a traditional banana-leaf Sadhya inspired by recipes passed down through generations. The spread features upperi, sharkara varatti, inji puli, avial, olan and erissery, followed by two varieties of payasam.

Hoppumm, Bandra
Hoppumm is offering an expansive Sadhya featuring both vegetarian and non-vegetarian preparations. The spread includes jackfruit chips, pulinji, mixed thoran, avial, kootu curry, olan and pineapple pachadi, alongside prawn roast, chicken varuval and meen fry. Palada payasam and parippu pradhaman complete the feast.

The Tanjore Tiffin Room
This place will be serving a 30-dish Onam Sadhya on a banana leaf, featuring classics such as rasam, sambar, avial, olan, kaalan, beetroot thayir pachadi, puli inji, beans thoran and raw mango pickle. The meal comes with two payasams, pal payasam and sharkara adapradhaman.

This is an old-school Kerala restaurant in Fort known for its traditional Malabari food and Sadhya. The place is serving its traditional Onam Sadhya from August 21 to August 30, 2026, with the main Thiruvonam celebration on August 26, 2026.

Banana Leaf is marking Onam with an authentic Sadhya featuring around 25 festive delicacies, served as part of its annual Onam celebration. A Mumbai favourite for South Indian cuisine, Banana Leaf is marking Onam with a traditional Sadhya featuring Kerala classics such as avial, olan, kootu curry, sambar and rasam, along with banana chips and an assortment of traditional payasams.

Santosham — Great Onam Sadhya 2026
Santosham is bringing back its Great Onam Sadhya 2026, with an unlimited Kerala feast featuring more than 40 dishes served traditionally on a banana leaf. The spread includes pachadis, pickles and podis, along with Kerala favourites such as parippu curry, pulissery and thoran, followed by rice and thayir sadam.

Shri Gomateshwar Bhavan
