Your regular boots don’t have to stay basic. Fashion and lifestyle creator Aanchal Jain recently gave her pair a festive makeover by adding zari borders, creating a look inspired by Zariboot by Noorface. Her DIY video has already clocked over 488K views, proving that a little embellishment can completely transform an old pair of footwear.
Here’s how to recreate the look
1. Pick your boots - Start with a clean pair of boots. Leather, faux leather or fabric styles can work, as long as the surface is clean and dry.
2. Get your zari - Choose zari borders in patterns and widths that complement your boots. Mixing different designs can make the finished pair look more intricate.
3. Cut, but don’t overthink - Measure and cut the borders into different lengths and sizes depending on where you want to place them. You can cover the ankle, front or sides. There are no strict rules.
