Kandukuru Police inspector Narasimha Rao said Paruchuri Bhavyasri, a homemaker from Kondasamudram village of Kandukuru block, was alone when she allegedly killed herself.

“She was staying with her in-laws, who went to their fields for agricultural works. Her husband Mahesh is working as a construction labourer in Telangana’s Jagitial district,” he said.

Her in-laws found out about the deaths after they returned from work and immediately alerted the neighbours and other relatives, before informing the police.

Preliminary investigations revealed Bhavyasri committed suicide after inadvertently beating her daughter to death.

She was irritated with her daughter Mahishitha’s repeated crying while she was working. She beat up the child and pushed her away in a fit of rage. The infant fell down and her head accidentally hit the floor, resulting in her death.

“Nobody is responsible for my death. I am sorry I am leaving all of you,” she said in her note.

Inspector Rao said the bodies have been shifted to Kandukuru government hospital for a post-mortem examination.

“The case is under investigation,” he added.
