“Alert troops noticed suspicious movements in Balakote area early on Thursday,” a source said. “A brief firing exchange took place between the troops and the terrorists. Two intruding terrorists were killed while a search operation is going on.”

The Pakistani Army on Wednesday violated the 2003 ceasefire in Nowshera sector of the LoC in Rajouri district.

“They violated the ceasefire around 7 pm using small arms, automatics and mortars. But our positions retaliated effectively and strongly,” the source added.
