  Gangster-politician Atiq Ahmad, who was shot dead along with his brother at point-blank range, had admitted during questioning by police that he had links with Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence and militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, according to an FIR.

  Atiq also told police said that the weapons taken from (LeT and ISI) were used in the murder of Umesh Pal and two policemen in February this year.

  "I know the places where the weapons have been kept. These places do not have house numbers. If you (police) take me and my brother together, we can identify these places," he was quoted as saying by PTI.

  State govt constitutes 3-member judicial commission to probe Prayagraj incident

  State government on Sunday constituted a three-member judicial commission under Justice Arvind Kumar Tripathi, former Judge of the Allahabad high court, to probe the Prayahraj incident.

  Two other members of the commission are former district judge Brijesh Kumar Soni and former IPS Subesh Kumar Singh. The committee will submit its report in two months.
