Cockroach Janta Party on Sunday took a swipe at the BJP’s new Gen Z outreach programme and its choice of leaders, sarcastically saying, “Three claps to the BJP for a marvellous set of ‘Gen Z faces’.”
Taking to X, party’s chief spokesperson Saurav Das called out BJP National President Nitin Nabin for earlier calling the youth of the country “virus and cockroach” and comparing them with the “tukde tukde gang.”
“Wonderful decision by the BJP on “reaching out” to the Gen Z. Nitin Nabin recently called the young generation “virus and cockroach”, protesters a part of “tukde tukde gang”.
Das’s reaction comes after BJP on Saturday constituted a dedicated team to spearhead its upcoming Gen Z Outreach Programme, aimed at strengthening engagement with young people across the country, news agency ANI reported.

{{/usCountry}}Launching an attack on Smriti Irani, Das said that it should be “googled” why she was thrown out of the education ministry within two years. He also questioned her degree from what he said was “Yell University.”
“And Smriti Irani… well well… just Google why she was thrown out of the Education Ministry within two years, in 2016. Her handling of Rohith Vemula’s suicide case, her dismantling of public universities, her own questionable degree from “Yell University” give her great moral authority to lecture us young people.”
BJP’s Gen Z outreach
Nabin on Saturday chaired the first introductory meeting of the BJP’s newly constituted national team, formally marking the start of their tenure as party office bearers. The meeting began with a full rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’.
The BJP is expected to soon kick off its Gen Z outreach programme as part of its efforts to build a more direct and sustained engagement with younger voters, according to ANI.
The initiative is likely to focus on understanding the aspirations, concerns and expectations of Gen Z, while giving young people an opportunity to interact with BJP leaders and voice their views on issues affecting them.
Through discussions, interactions and other engagement activities, the party also aims to strengthen its connection with young voters and broaden its outreach among the younger generation.
In the meeting, Nabin urged the newly appointed office-bearers to prioritise “Yuva Samvad”, or continuous engagement with young people.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also met the newly-constituted team of BJP at the party headquarters in Delhi, where he was greeted by Nabin.
The 65-member team announced on August 17 comprises 51 new faces, including Kavita Patidar, K Surendran, Manoj Tigga, and Sandeep Pathak. In the overhaul, key names that were given responsibilities include former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje and former Union minister Smriti Irani.
The outreach programme comes as the BJP seeks to connect with more Gen Z voters across the country, with assembly polls in three major states due soon.
