Congress leader Digvijaya Singh said on Friday an objectionable post about Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he re-tweeted was not his, adding that he disowned it.

Singh, who posted an image that spoke about ‘bhakts’ – a term used by Modi’s opponents to criticise his followers – mentioned in the tweet: “Not mine but couldn’t help posting it. My apologies to the person concerned. He is the best in the “Art of Fooling!”
Singh, who is a Rajya Sabha MP and general secretary of the Congress, later told reporters: “My words are simple – that Narendra Modi is the best in the art of fooling. These words are mine.”
“I have not endorsed it (the photo). I am not owning it also.”
