An engineering student committed suicide after his parents refused to buy him a video game, police said on Tuesday.

G Abhinay (17) jumped from the roof of his two-storey house at Kuntlur in Ranga Reddy district on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Monday night.

G Abhinay (17) jumped from the roof of his two-storey house at Kuntlur in Ranga Reddy district on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Monday night. He sustained critical injuries and was shifted to a private hospital where he died.

Upset, the teenager committed suicide.
