Gurugram student murder: SC declines bail petition of minor accused of slitting Class 2 boy’s throat

The accused claimed the Central Bureau of Investigation should have filed the chargesheet within 60 days and not 90 days.

The Supreme Court on Friday declined to entertain a petition for bail filed by the 16-year-old boy accused of slitting the throat of a Class 2 student of the private school in Gurugram in September last year.

The accused claimed the Central Bureau of Investigation should have filed the chargesheet within 60 days and not 90 days.

He also said he cannot be convicted to life imprisonment under the juvenile justice act but the top court did not agree with his argument.

The Class 11 student allegedly killed the seven-year-old boy in a school toilet on September 8, 2017.
