An IndiGo flight from Trichy to Singapore carrying 127 passengers returned to Trichy International Airport on Friday after developing a technical snag mid-air, forcing the aircraft to circle over the area for around two and a half hours before landing safely.
The flight, which departed from Trichy at around 6.40 pm, remained in the air for nearly two and a half hours after the technical issue was detected. Airport officials remained in continuous communication with the pilots as the aircraft circled in the air and reduced its fuel before returning to the airport.
