The coronavirus caseload in the country has reached over 11.17 million with a death toll of 157,656, as of Saturday, according to the Union health ministry data. Iraq reports 4,068 new Covid-19 cases
Iraqi on Saturday added 4,068 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total nationwide infections to 723,189, according to the health ministry. Eleven new deaths pushed the toll to 13,548 while recoveries are over 657,000.

K'taka's Covid-19 tally over 954,000; 580 fresh cases added
Karnataka on Saturday added 580 fresh coronavirus disease cases, 355 recoveries and five more deaths which pushed the caseload to 954,393, according to the state health department's bulletin. The active cases have climbed to 6,594 while 935,421 people have recovered till now.

Punjab's daily Covid cases cross 1,000 for the second time this month
Punjab on Saturday logged 1,179 fresh Covid-19 cases and 12 more deaths which pushed the overall tally to more than 187,000. This is the second time that the daily figures crossed the 1,000 mark in March. Saturday's tally is also the highest in the state since the last five months.

Maharashtra logs more than 10,000 Covid cases for second consecutive day
Maharashtra on Saturday recorded more than 10,000 fresh Covid-19 disease cases (10,187 exact) for the second consecutive day, taking the caseload to mroe than 2.2 million. As many as 47 people died during this period which pushed the state's toll to 52,440.
