Pakistan high commissioner to India, Abdul Basit, reportedly received “threat calls” on Thursday, asking him to leave the country.
Quoting a Pakistan high commission sources, Geo News said the threatening calls were from an unknown number and the caller asked Basit that “it is better for you to return to your country”.
This comes amid a heated debate between the two neighbours over the Indian Army carrying out surgical strikes across the Line of Control (LoC) to neutralise terrorists waiting to infiltrate into the Indian territory.
India announced on Thursday it conducted surgical strikes and destroyed many terror bases across the LoC, while Pakistan rubbished the claim saying there was only cross-border firing that killed two of its soldiers.
