Highlights: Polling for Presidential election ends; Opposition shift focus to Vice President's post

The opposition has now shifted its focus to the elections for the vice-president's post, in which senior Congress leader and former Union minister Margaret Alva will face NDA's pick - former West Bengal governor Jagdeep Dhankar.

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) legislator from Dakha constituency in Punjab Manpreet Singh Ayali boycotted the Presidential poll and blamed the BJP-led Centre as well as the previous Congress-led government in the state for "failing to resolve" issues related to Punjab.
