While raising anti-government and anti-BJP slogans, the protesting students warned that imposition of Kashmiri language and cultural aggression on the land of secular Dogras will not be tolerated at any cost.

They even lashed out at the latest government order wherein it ‘reserved’ some posts for Dogri and Punjabi languages.

“It was mere eyewash. Why the government has reserved some seats for Dogri and Punjabi languages but has not rescinded its previous order of imposing Kashmiri language in Jammu colleges,” they said.

They demanded immediate roll back of government’s earlier order of introducing Kashmir language in Jammu province.

The government courted a controversy when it recently reserved 49 seats for Kashmiri language that too in degree colleges of Jammu province where people largely speak Dogri, Punjabi, followed by Gojri, Pahari, Sheena, Giddi and Sippi languages.

Following uproar and protests the state government on Thursday had came out with a cosmetic exercise reserving 49 seats for Dogri language and 25 seats for Punjabi language for the posts of assistant professors.
