Tamil Nadu chief miniser MK Stalin on Monday inaugurated the Tata Motors passenger vehicles and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) greenfield facility built in Ranipet district.

“A day that defines speed, scale, and the credibility of the Dravidian Model,” Stalin said. “Tamil Nadu once again demonstrates what focused governance and clear intent can achieve.”
The chief minister also drove the first car, a Range Rover Evoque, rolled out from the assembly.The facility has been built in the industrial estate owned by the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT), about 90km from Chennai.
With a committed investment of ₹9,000 crore and creating over 5,000 jobs, the facility will manufacture both conventional and electric vehicles for domestic markets and exports, said an official. “This landmark project further cements Tamil Nadu’s position as a global hub for next-generation mobility and advanced automotive manufacturing,” the official added.
