A video posted on Facebook by ‘North-East Of India’ captured a rhino charging onto a road in Assam for a full two minutes and 40 seconds.
It got widely shared, leading to several users questioning its authenticity – some said it was ‘fake’ and ‘edited’, but the page admin were quick to respond.
“In rainy seasons, its a regular view in Assam. GO to near by areas of Kaziranga national park and other national park of Assam , u will get this kind of scenario,” they commented.
The couple filming the video have a running commentary throughout. “Damn. Look at the size of the thing. I thought I only saw this on bloody African movies. I’m doing it today myself,” says the driver.
The video garnered 13 million views so far and was shared almost 2 lakh times.
The same video was shared on Twitter by @sarm0161 and has since been retweeted over 18,000 times.
