New Zealand rode on brilliant knocks from Tom Latham and Ross Taylor to register a six-wicket victory over India. Virat Kohli led from the front as his brilliant century took India to the total of 280/8 against New Zealand. Virat Kohli, who has scored over a 1,000 ODI runs this year, will be playing his 200th ODI. This was New Zealand’s first ODI at Wankhede but they already have a feel of the conditions having played two warm-up games on what is usually a good and fair wicket. India, second in the ODI rankings, can regain the top ODI spot from South Africa if they win the series 3-0. The second ODI takes place in Pune on Wednesday, with the third in Kanpur on October 29. The two sides will then play three T20 matches. New Zealand are ranked fifth in the world. Get full cricket score of India vs New Zealand, 1st ODI here. (LIVE UPDATES)
