A woman was killed and six others were injured in explosions at a cracker manufacturing unit in Dankore area in Greater Noida today.

The deceased was identified as Bismilla, 70, mother of cracker factory owner Islammudin, police said, adding two of the injured were shifted to a Delhi hospital and their condition was stated to be critical.

An electric spark in a room where crackers were stored triggered a series of explosions which damaged the walls while the roof was blown off.

The factory's license had expired, police said.
