As many as 101 couples, belonging to weaker sections of society, on Saturday tied the nuptial knot in Noida at a mass marriage ceremony.

The ceremony was organised by an NGO, Bharat Vikas Parishad, at sector 19 of Noida as per the Hindu rituals.
Bridegrooms procession on chariots started from a Sanatan Dharam temple at sector 19, and reached the brides place where a huge pandal was set up, one of the organisers said.
Later couples in groups sat at the a ritual platform and marriage rituals were performed, he said.
All the couples belonged to economically weaker section of society.
