13 Govt employees suspended in Poonch

Thirteen government officials were placed under suspension in Mendhar area of Poonch district by Sub-Divisional Magistrate of the region, official sources said.

Thirteen government officials were placed under suspension in Mendhar area of Poonch district by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of the region, official sources said in Jammu on Sunday.

SDM TK Bhat found these government absent from their duties during his surprise visit to Mendhar tehsil yesterday, they said, adding they were suspended for dereliction of duty.

The suspended employees include six employees of Zonal Agriculture Office (ZAO), four employees of a government dispensary, including the medical officer and three teachers of a school along with the headmistress.

The SDM directed the concerned officers to conduct an enquiry against the absentees and submit a report within one week.
