32 kg poppy straw seized, one arrested in J&K

One person, hailing from Ludhiana, has been arrested with 32 kg of Poppy straw in Ramban district on Monday night.

One person, hailing from Ludhiana (Punjab), has been arrested with 32 kg of Poppy straw in Ramban district on Monday night, police said.

Acting on a tip off, police intercepted a tempo traveller, Inder Singh on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway at Batote in Ramban district on Monday night, they said adding on search 32 kg of poppy straw was recovered from his possession.
