At least six persons, five of them belonging to a family, were killed and four others seriously injured when their jeep collided with a truck on Paradip-Daitary Expressway, about 15 km from Kendrapara, in Orissa.

The passengers were returning to Bhootmundei near Marshaghai junction on the outskirts of Paradip after attending a marriage when the jeep collided with the ore-laden truck.
The four injured persons were shifted to a hospital in Cuttack where their condition was stated to be critical.
The six were identified as Ramesh Swain (50), Manoj Swain (44), Pravakar Swain (80), Shantanu Swain (45), Jeshu Swain (8) and Chandramani Majhi (30).
