A 69-year-old tourist from Mumbai died in her hotel room in a famous ski resort of Gulmarg in North Kashmir, police said today.

Preeti, who was on a holiday trip to the valley with her husband Madan Lal Mayen, died of a "natural cause" inside her hotel room at Grand Mumtaz in Gulmarg, 55 kms from here, a police spokesman said.

He said she breathed her last during the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. After legal formalities her body was handed over to her husband for last rites.
