Following the MP’s decision, the district administration has heaved a sigh of relief. However, the BJP activists did not give up their ongoing agitation launched against the State Government’s failure.

On Wednesday, the BJP activists took out a procession and staged a dharna at the DM office to express their anger at slaughtering of the cows in Ghaziabad.

Expressing his views on the issue, Adityanath said that cow slaughtering was being done to tease the Hindu s.

City unit secretary of the party Dr Dharmendra Singh said it was the failure of the government to impose a ban on cow slaughtering and it result from the appeasement policies being persuaded by the SP government. BJP leader Shital Pandey and Radheshyam Srivastav demanded that the miscreants involved in slaughtering the cow on a large-scale should be punished.

They also handed over a memorandum to the city magistrate and demanded punishment for the accused involved in cow slaughtering incident. BJP MP Adityanath said that the Gorakhpur bandh call was withdrawn. But the BJP activists and other saffron its allies would stage a demonstration at divisional commissioner office in June 2.
