A SPECTACULAR air show will be held in Gorakhpur on February 26 for students and citizens, said an Air Force official, here on Thursday.Performances by the world famous Surya Kiran aerobatic team and the Akash Ganga para jumping team will be the main attractions of the show that will start at 2.30 pm on February 26.

The official said it would be a unique experience for students and people here to witness a live air show of such magnitude.
The official also said schools may contact the Air Force Station, Gorakhpur, public relations officer for further details.
DM’s poems on tape: An audiocasette of district magistrate Hariom’s poems will be released at Katchery Club ground, on February 25. Divisional Commissioner Arvind Kumar will inaugurate the programme.
Ahmad Husain Mohammad Husain brothers will present ghazals.
Seminar at DDU varsity: The Law Faculty of the DDU Gorakhpur University will organise a two-day seminar on February 25-26 on ‘Social Justice Theory of Dr Ambedkar and Uplift of Dalits’.
Head of the Department of Law Prof Anirudh Prasad said various dignitaries would express their views at the seminar.
Talking to mediapersons, he said the contribution of Dalits in literature and other works would be discussed. He said Prof Harishanker Srivastav would inaugurate the seminar on January 25 and vice-chancellor Prof Arun Kumar preside over it.
