"I will be shooting..and shooting..and shooting all through this year. But there'll be no releases. All the films will be ready to go only next year," says Anurag Basu.

The director is working on the script of three films simultaneously. The sequel to Metro which will start shooting later this year.

"We're still working on the rough draft. There are so many possibilities you can explore that's writing is a never-ending creative," Basu remarks.

The buzz is that Hrithik Roshan could feature in Metro 2. Rakesh Roshan had been completely enthralled by Gangster and Metro. Basu isn't ready to discuss casting or plot details:

"It's too early. Let me lock things with Ronnie (Screwvala) first," he says.

According to his producers UTV , the sequel will not necessarily be set in Mumbai again. It could be any teeming metropolis like Delhi or even London. It's obvious that Metro 2 will be a bigger-scaled film than the original.

In the dark
However, Basu confirms that he will be working with Hrithik Roshan .. in a film being produced Rakesh Roshan's Film Kraft. Will it be another maar dhaad dhamaka with daredevil stunts and SFX galore?

"It'll have plenty of thrills but it won't be completely action-oriented. It's more of a romantic thriller with dark shades to Hrithik's character," he promises.

There's one more project with UTV. "It's an issue-based film," he says.

" I'm looking at newcomers for this one. I believe that we're going to be seeing a lot of fresh talent this year. Only if I don't find anyone really promising will I look at more established actors."
