Bangladeshi national shot dead by BSF in Tripura

A group of Bangladeshi timber smugglers were crossing the border when BSF men opened fire.

A Bangladeshi national was on Wednesday shot dead by the BSF on the India-Bangladesh border at Samarganj in South Tripura district, police said.

As the Bangladeshis did not stop, the BSF opened fire and the body of a Bangladeshi was later recovered from the spot, police said.
