ICC President Ehsan Mani said all decisions were taken in consultation with its member boards and it was disappointing to see criticisms being hurled at the body.

"India is an important member of the ICC but I am disappointed that from time to time one hears press comments from people close to the Board criticising the ICC," he said at an interactive session here after being felicitated by the Kerala Cricket Association.

Mani said every decision taken by the ICC was with the involvement of the President of BCCI and nothing was done without the approval of the Board.

"We are there to provide support to the member boards and not to dictate to them," he said.

The new BCCI regime has virtually been on the collision course with ICC on a number of issues, particularly those relating to Champions Trophy and a proposal to introduce a World Cup for Twenty20 cricket.

"When a couple of people from among the 60,000 capacity crowd makes such comment, it is not fair on your part to take action against the Board and harm the sport. It has to be controlled by better policing and better control." More
