Billiards Academy to be opened in City

BUOYED BY an overwhelming response to the national billiards and snooker tournament going on in the City, the Sports and Youth Welfare Department is planning to open a Billiards and Snooker Academy in the Capital.

BUOYED BY an overwhelming response to the national billiards and snooker tournament going on in the City, the Sports and Youth Welfare Department is planning to open a Billiards and Snooker Academy in the Capital.

During his recent visit to billiards tournament, Chief Secretary Rakesh Sahni met ace cueist Geet Sethi at BHEL Senior Club. Sahni discussed various aspects of billiards with the seven times world champion Sethi.

Sethi is understood to have shown interest in development of the infrastructure available in the City for billiards. It is said that he was quite satisfied with the facilities available in the City and appreciated the Sports Department.

Sethi, along with Ashok Shandilya and Director Sports Sanjay Chaudhary, visited the Tatya Tope Stadium. Sethi appreciated the stadium and said that there are proper facilities available at the stadium for billiards players.
