THE CRISIS-HIT Baba Raghav Das Medical College suffered another setback on Tuesday following the transfer of two professors to Rural Institute of Medical Sciences, Saifai, retirement of two others and suspension of another professor.
The shortage of teachers at the medical college has further deepened and the future of the college is hanging in balance.
Last week, two professors, including the principal of the college RD Mukhija and a professor in the department of surgery Dr Jina, retired. The suspension of neurosurgeon Dr VK Maurya and the directive to around half a dozen professors to join Rural Institute of Medical at Saifai has triggered off a serious resentment among various organisations.
BRD Medical College Bachao Morcha has decided to stage a dharna on college premises to vent their anger.
