According to the Mirror, the boxing star, despite attaining national fame and glory after being crowned with the olive wreath and silver medal, will go in for an arranged marriage with a traditional girl from Pakistan.
As per the report, Amir's father Shajaad and uncle Iftakhar selected the girl for him, and although Amir has agreed to the match after being shown a video footage of his prospective bride, the dates for the marriage have so far not been fixed.
"It's a traditional thing. He's said he'll do it and it's been agreed but they don't know when", the paper quoted a family member as saying.
