BSF official sent to JC in J&K sex racket

A court in Jammu on Saturday sent BSF Deputy Inspector General KS Padhi, arrested by the CBI in connection with the sex racket, to 14 days' judicial custody while extending the remand of two others.

Chief Judicial Magistrate MY Akhoon sent Padhi, accused of raping a 15-year-old victim of the racket, to judicial cutody for 14 days after the four-day remand taken by CBI for interrogating him expired on Saturday.

Padhi was sent to the Central Jail in Srinagar.

The court also extended by 14 days the judicial custody of two other accused in the case, Mehrajuddin and Maqsood.
