The Huda chief has also asked his subordinates to find ways to stop this nuisance.
"This city burns tonnes of garbage daily. It is a serious offence as it pollutes the environment. One can be challaned if found burning garbage or leaves," he said at a public meeting. The administrator is likely to hold a meeting with the estate officers, executive engineers and various residents' welfare associations (RWAs).
"We are short of staff and this act needs manpower, so we are likely to allow RWAs to challan offenders for smaller amount," the Huda chief said. Huda will also take help from the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) to make this drive successful.
