Goa's Children's Court has issued notice to Fiona Mackeown, whose daughter Scarlett Keeling was found dead on Goa's beach.
The notice, which is issued to her Indian lawyer Vikram Varma, also mentions that Fiona would be summoned in due course of time to depose before the court in connection with the case.
Scarlett, a teenage british girl was found dead on Goa's Anjuna beach on February 18.
Goa police after their initial reluctance had initiated a thorough inquiry into the incident arresting two youths -- Placido Carvalho and Samson D'Souza.
The murder case was registered with Anjuna police by Fiona, several days later after two autopsies were conducted on Scarlett's body.
Goa police, who have handed over the investigations to the central bureau of investigations, have already filed chargesheet with the President of Goa Children's court on May 31, 2008.
Fiona's lawyer has said that his client will not be able to attend the court, if called immediately, as she is yet to get her visa.
"Two weeks back she has applied with the Indian high commission for visa but she is yet to get it. Fiona wants to depose before the court as she wants justice to her daughter," Varma said.
He said that his client would make an application before the court asking for adequate time as she has not got her visa so far.
