While Alemao polled 1,64,034 votes, Angle could garner 1,13,397 votes. Auda Viegas of UGDP finished third.

Angle had won the seat last time with a margin of 14,959 over Congress canditate Joaquim Aleamao, brother of Churchill Alemao.
