While all Delhi government-run schools will remain closed, private schools have also been advised to remain closed in view of the severe cold, an official spokesman said.

Schools in the capital had reopened yesterday after the winter break, on a day when the temperature plumetted to 2.6 degree Celsius, the lowest in the season so far.

The minumum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 3.2 degree Celsius on Tuesday.
