COLLEGE OF Excellence will be opened in each district in Madhya Pradesh as part of the State Government?s endeavour to improve the quality of higher education, Higher Education Minister Tukoji Rao Pawar said.

COLLEGE OF Excellence will be opened in each district in Madhya Pradesh as part of the State Government’s endeavour to improve the quality of higher education, Higher Education Minister Tukoji Rao Pawar said. The State Government will provide Rs 10 crore each for infrastructure development in the colleges of excellence, which will have hostels, playground and digital library.

Attempt was being made to ensure that the students from the State did not have to go to other states for quality higher education in all fields, Pawar said at a function at Dewas yesterday.

Preparations on for NUJ meet

HECTIC PREPARATIONS are afoot for 14th national convention of National Union of Journalists (NUJ) slated to take place here from January 21 to 23. A camp office of the convention has begun at Hindi Bhavan.

Separate committees have been formed to take care of different works and these committees are meeting regularly to give final touches to preparations for the event, said NUJ’s publicity chief Atmadeep.

The convention will take place at old Vidhan Sabha premises.
