The Enforcement Directorate (ED) opposed her discharge, but remained silent on the question of granting her bail.

Special CBI Judge O P Saini adjourned till July 2 the hearing on bail pleas and framing of charges against the accused, including Dayalu Ammal, former Telecom Minister A Raja and DMK MP Kanimozhi.

A Raja’s counsel, Advocate Babanjeet Singh, requested that a concerned officer from the secretary general of the Lok Sabha be produced before the court as a witness. The officer would rebut the allegations of conspiracy, said Singh. The court allowed the application, and directed for a request letter be sent to the secretary general of the Lok Sabha.
