She was delivering a discourse for the second day at the Coral Club here on Monday.

She said one may not be aware of what one wanted, but a deeper analysis revealed that what one ultimately sought in the depth of his heart was ‘anand’ or bliss.

“Whether in the process of establishing control over others, or doing harm to others, in every activity one seeks some kind of satisfaction comparable with anand,” she added.

She gave the example of a student desperately trying to excel in examinations. She said the student improved his lot and gave himself access to all comforts by bagging a lucrative job and ultimately aimed at anand.

It was natural for every person to seek bliss, which was ultimately attained when one becames God-centred, she said.

“As long as man is under the spell of Maya, he gropes in the darks of ignorance, vainly seeking anand.”

“In fact, God is not the source but anand itself,” she asserted.
