The European Union troika will meet representatives from Pakistan on Thursday in Berlin, the German presidency of the EU has said.

"The talks will focus on intensifying relations between the EU and Pakistan as well as on regional issues," said a statement on Tuesday.
The EU delegation will be headed by German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier with the Pakistani team, headed by Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri.
EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana will also attend the talks.
Portugal, which takes over the rotating EU presidency on July 1, will be represented by a junior foreign minister.
