"I have not seen the papers and therefore, cannot comment in detail. But from time to time, all details as asked for by the present BCCI management have been furnished by me.
"Although there is no truth in their allegations, it seems that the present BCCI management has a single point agenda to malign me," Dalmiya said in a media release, hours after BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah lodged the FIR at the Marine Drive police station in Mumbai.
"Their pre-determined malicious intent is very clear. First, they asked me to hand over the papers, which I did. Thereafter, they raised certain queries, which were required to be answered by me within seven days. Even before the deadline, they issued a showcause notice. Despite that I have answered all the queries. And now these false criminal charges," he said.
"It is all the more surprising that such action has been taken by the BCCI even when the matter is sub judice," he added.
