Four-year-old girl slips into borewell in Faridabad

A four-year-old girl fell into a borewell at a village in Palwal on this evening. All attempts are being made to rescue the child stuck about 20 feet deep in the borewell.

A four-year-old girl fell into a borewell at a village in Palwal on this evening. All attempts are being made to rescue the child stuck about 20 feet deep in the borewell.

A large number of people and police, including the deputy commissioner and Palwal superintendent of police, are supervising the rescue operation. The incident occurred in Balai village in Palwal district when the children, including four-year-old Tanu, were playing in the fields around 5pm on Wednesday.

Tanu suddenly slipped in the open borewell. Fire brigade, ambulances, JCB machines and oxygen cylinders have been rushed to the spot where the rescue work was still in progress till the filing of this report.
