The protesters led by Bhopal Gas Peedit Mahila Udyog Sangathan (BGPMUS), an NGO, held placards seeking Ahmadi's resignation from BMHRC.
"The BMHRC was formed to provide treatment to the survivors but it is doing precious little for them," BGPMUS convenor Abdul Jabbar alleged.
Ahmadi should resign immediately, he said.
Six out of around 16 departments in BMHRC have become non-functional. Besides, there is a dearth of staff in it.
Every day, a patient's death is being reported from BMHRC which is very disturbing," Jabbar claimed.
