The burnt body of 15-year-old Priya, a high-school student, was discovered on Wednesday by her parents when they returned home, circle officer Prashant Kumar said on Thursday.

"The family members of the girl have alleged that Priya committed suicide as she was upset over eve teasing by a boy in the neighbourhood," he said.

However, he said, the police suspect it to be a case of murder as they have recovered love letters from the girl's room and a note in which she has accepted that she was in love with a boy which her mother did not like.
