Girl student commits suicide

A seventeen-year-old girl student of a local college in Dibrugarh today committed suicide inside the hostel premises.

Jyoti Gogoi, higher secondary (commerce), student of Saltbrook Academy, hanged herself in her room, the police said.

The police supect that Gogoi was mentally deranged.

Locals protested against the incident and have demanded the police and college authorities to probe into the death.
