High Court grants bail to man in bank fraud case

The Delhi High Court has granted bail to 76 year old businessman, who allegedly defrauded a bank up to Rs 15 crores by submitting false information and forged documents.

The Delhi High Court has granted bail to 76 year old businessman, who allegedly defrauded a bank up to Rs 15 crores by submitting false information and forged documents.

H.B. Chaturvedi, the proprietor of M/s Shamken Multifab Ltd (SML), was given bail for a bond of Rs 5 lakh and two sureties of the same amount.

According to the CBI, 76-year-old Chaturvedi, along with five others, had allegedly duped IDBI bank by submitting false information and forged documents showing utilization of a loan of Rs 15 crores.
