Hollywood.com bosses have added up the earnings of the biggest seasonal releases and compiled a list of the most successful films, taking inflation into account. Star Wars has emerged as the top film, with E.T. and Jaws following suit.

Also making to the top five are Return of the Jedi and Raiders of the Lost Ark while Jurassic Park, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Forrest Gump, The Lion King and Mary Poppins round off the top 10.
