HP CM stresses on maintaining water supply

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today announced that government would set up an expert committee for maintaining standard and quality of road construction in the state.

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Friday announced that government would set up an expert committee for maintaining standard and quality of road construction in the state.

Similarly government would also ensure water supply and irrigational schemes with a view to yield better results as well as benefit maximum population, he said at the concluding session of plan discussions meeting here today.

He stressed upon rain water harvesting to face the challenge posed by the global warming which was resulting in scarcity of water.

Singh said the priority of the government would be to improve the quality of electricity supply in the state besides electrification of left out hamlets.

MLAs from Hamirpur, Una and Kullu districts participated in the three-day meeting.
