On a petition by CBI, which is investigating into the case, Judge CV Subramanyam ordered for Salem's production on January 25.

According to reports, Salem complained of third-degree torture by police and reportedly said," I'll die in police custody."

The Judge also further extended judicial remand of Salem's companion Monica Bedi till January 25.

She is in Chanchalguda jail since November 25 in connection with the case.

Salem is currently in judicial remand in Mumbai in connection with 1993 serial bomb blast and Pradeep Jain murder case.

Bedi is facing charges of securing a passport in 2001 under under fictitious name and address from Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.

She has been booked under several sections of IPC and Passport Act.

Earlier, Bedi was brought amidst tight security to the court from jail.

A CBI officer obtained the handwriting and specimen signature of Bedi, for the second time, in front of the judge. The CBI had obtained handwriting and signature of Bedi on December 12.

When Bedi felt uncomfortable while attesting her signature and handwriting on the papers, the Judge allowed her to sit on a chair and and do it.

The CBI took signatures and handwriting of Bedi on three sets of papers.
