IAF chopper crashes in Siachen glacier

The Army and IAF launch a search to locate the pilots of the helicopter, which crashed at around 7 am.

A Cheetah helicopter of the Indian Air Force crashed in the main Siachen glacier on Wednesday morning and two pilots were reported missing.

The chopper took off from the base camp situated at an altitude of 16,400 feet and crashed at around 7 am in the central Siachen glacier, according to IAF sources in the Capital.

The Army and IAF have launched a search operation to locate the missing pilots, they said.
